Description
Balneath Manor is a house dating from the 16th century, with later alterations and additions. It features a timber frame with brick cladding and clay tile roofs. The building has two storeys and an attic, with various wings. The old central wing has a low roof that descends over three two-light ground floor windows, and a wide six-light canted bay attic window with a roof above. There is a brick porch on the right side of the front of the old structure, and a tile-hung gabled first floor that includes a two-light sash window. To the right, there is a two-storey wing from the 19th century, and another 19th-century wing to the left. Inside, the timber frame is prominently visible, particularly in the entrance hall, ground floor rooms, and first floor rooms.
