Description
The Manor House is a timber-framed building with plaster infilling or painted brick infilling, dated 1599, located on Newick Church Road. It was known as Church House or Farm until 1925. The house has been altered in the 17th century and features a steeply-pitched hipped tiled roof. The windows are casement style with small square panes. The south front was refaced in the late 17th century with red brick on a stone base, which includes a stone stringcourse above the ground floor, brick above the first floor, and a small added gabled projection at the east end. The building has two storeys and an attic, with three windows and two dormers. Above the entrance, there are the initials "D O M" and the date 1599. Inside, there is early 17th-century panelling.
