Description
Nos 40 and 41 White Rock are a late 19th-century building constructed in a Gothic style. The building has a stucco exterior, a steeply-pitched slate roof with gable ends, and a pierced parapet featuring three gabled dormers. A heavy moulded cornice with a decorated frieze runs along the top of the building. It is three storeys high with an attic. The building is three bays wide; the ground floor now contains a modern shop with a high fascia. The first floor has two canted bays with cornices, and pointed arch windows with pilasters and dripmoulds. The second floor has pointed arch windows with dripmoulds, with a two-light window in the centre and a three-light window on either side. String courses run horizontally across the façade. All windows are sash windows without glazing bars.
