Description
Ford House is a late 18th-century building that was originally a tea house and has since been altered. It features a stucco exterior and a tiled gabled roof, comprising one storey and an attic. The east front boasts a verandah with seven pointed arches supported by clustered shafts made of grey Roman cement. Behind the verandah, there are five bays of sash windows, each adorned with false interlacing heads in pointed arches, along with a half-glazed entrance door, all featuring glazing bars. A circular radiating window is present in the gable. The verandah is vaulted and is mirrored with four arches on the north and south sides. The east gable end includes an oval radiating window in the gable. This building was formerly the tea house of Hennerton House, which has since been demolished.
