Description
The stable block located 30 metres northeast of Park Place was built around 1870. It is constructed of rendered brick and features a gabled slate roof. The building consists of three ranges, with a closing wall that is partially rendered and partially brick, and it includes original wooden gates with wrought iron filigree inset panels.
The main block is two storeys high and has a central rusticated semi-circular arch with a plain recess behind it. Above this is a pediment gable topped with a pyramidal hipped cupola and a clock. The first floor has four coupled casement windows, while the ground floor features two thermal windows that have keystones and bracketed cills. A plat band with a string course runs above, forming the cill of the first-floor windows. The ends of the building have boarded doors with transom lights.
On either side of the main block are one-storey coach houses that are positioned at right angles to it.
