Description
Crane's Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 16th century. It features a brick facing on a timber frame and has an old tile roof that is hipped to the left and gabled to the right. There is a large brick chimney located one bay from the right side. The house is two storeys tall and has three vertical sliding sash windows with glazing bars on the ground floor, along with a plain door situated one bay from the right, opposite the chimney. On the first floor, there are three Yorkshire sash windows and a small casement window above the door. Some of the timber framing is exposed internally, showcasing chamfered beams. The roof has a five-bay Queen post structure with clasped purlins and pegged rafters.
