Description

Place Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse situated on the north side of Goose Green in Lambourn. The building is constructed of flint with brick dressings, quoins and a first-floor string. It has an old tile roof with flanking chimney stacks.

The front elevation facing the road has three casement windows arranged asymmetrically. Three small gabled dormers with leaded lights are visible in the roof. The first floor has three-light casements, while the ground floor has segmental-headed casements. A six-panelled door is positioned between the first and second windows from the left, sheltered by a 19th-century gabled porch. A single-storey extension with a half-hipped old tile roof, featuring two windows, adjoins the right side of the farmhouse. A lower, two-storey extension, built of sarsen stone and brick with one window, is located at the rear to the left.
