Description
The Bull Inn is a public house that dates back to the 15th century, with 19th-century additions. It features a timber frame and later red brick with grey headers for refacing and additions, along with a plinth and plat band. The roof is covered with old tiles and has a catslide over an outshot at the rear. There is a central ridge stack positioned above the door, with a half-hipped section to the left and a gabled class wing that also has a catslide and stack over an outshot to the left. The building includes a cross wing that projects to the rear, showcasing exposed arch braces and a queen post truss. To the left, there is a two-bay framed cross wing. The inn is two storeys high with a garret. The central first-floor window is blank and flanked by two 20th-century casements. On the ground floor, there are three 20th-century casements and a segmental-headed half-glazed door situated between the first and second windows from the right. Inside, there is evidence of a jetty at the front of the left-hand cross wing, and some wattle and daub panels are still visible.
