Description
Chimney Cottage is a cottage dating from around 1600 that has been altered. It is constructed with a timber frame and features colourwashed brick infill and refacing. The roof is tiled, having replaced thatched roofing after a fire in 2017, and there is a central brick chimney. The cottage has two storeys and the east elevation displays four bays, with the two left bays showcasing heavy exposed timbering. There is a central door with a modern porch and four irregular modern casements on both floors.
On the south gable, there is a small lean-to with shed and brick walls, topped with colour-washed render. The west elevation reveals the timber frame in the two right bays, while the left bay features colourwashed brick and rendering. There are three irregular casements on each floor.
