Description
Elm House is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brown brick with painted stucco dressings and features a slate roof with a parapet and a moulded cornice around the building. The house is three storeys high and has floor bands. The southwest front has three bays with four-pane sash windows set in reveals, each topped with stucco voussoir heads. The central entrance features a four-panelled door within a Doric porch supported by two columns and two pilasters, complete with an entablature and blocking course, and is accessed by stone steps. At the rear, there is a lower wing that shares similar architectural details, with one sash window on each floor and a panelled door that has an open lean-to porch.
