Description

Little Shate is a house that was originally two cottages, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of Isle of Wight stone rubble, with some brick detailing. The building features a thatched roof and has three brick chimneystacks. It stands two storeys high and has a total of ten windows arranged in a 4:6 pattern. The windows are wooden casements that were added in the 19th or 20th century. The entrance has a simple doorcase and is sheltered by a hipped tiled weather porch supported by wooden piers.
