Description
Brighstone Mill is a watermill dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, with extensions added in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed stone rubble, featuring some red and white brick dressings, and has a tiled roof. The building has one to two storeys with attics in the gable and displays irregular window arrangements. The first floor includes two 19th-century casement windows, while the ground floor has one 19th-century casement window, one blocked window, and a cambered doorcase. The right side elevation is two storeys high, featuring two cambered casements and a central loading door. Attached to the right is a 19th-century stable cartshed, which is partly made of ironstone and partly weatherboarded. The left section has a stable door, while the right section includes a double cart shed on the ground floor.
