Description
The Church of the Holy Spirit is a church built in 1835 by A.F. Livesay, located on the site of a medieval church that had fallen into ruin. It is designed in the Early English style and constructed from stone rubble with ashlar dressings. The roof is tiled and gable-ended.
The west end features a bellcote and a triple lancet window, with the central lancet being taller, supported by buttresses. The nave includes three lancets and dogtooth cornice buttresses with interrupted label moulding. There are arched porches on both the south and north sides, each with a tiled roof. The east window consists of two lancets topped by a circular window, complete with drip moulding and corbel heads.
Internally, one bay is designated as the chancel, and there are three ribbed vaulted bays adorned with floriated bosses. An octagonal font is also present, and the west window features corbel heads positioned between the lancets.
