Description

71 and 72 High Street are early 19th century buildings that stand two stories tall and are rendered and painted. They feature a low pitch gable end slate roof. The front has three windows, with the center one being blind, and the others are recessed sash windows with glazing bars and block sills. Number 71 has a modern shop front, while number 72 includes a frame from a 19th century shop window that is plain with block sills, a frieze, and a cornice. There is also a modern recessed door in a plain doorcase that has thin pilaster strips and a bracketed hood. Numbers 69 to 74, which are consecutive, form a group with these buildings.
