Description

St Helen's Old Church Tower is the remaining structure of the original Church of St Helen's, which was built in 1577. The church was abandoned when a new church was constructed on Priory Road in 1717. Since then, the tower has been used solely as a sea mark. The tower is made of stone rubble and is now reinforced by a brick wall on the east side to protect it from the sea.
