Description

Maple Cottage is a two-storey cottage dating from around 1840, with the first floor partly in the attic. It features Gothicized details and is constructed from rough dressed stone, topped with a gable end slate roof. The cottage has three windows, which include gabled mullioned half dormers with a central small stone oriel and two-light casements on the ground floor, all with drip moulds. The entrance is marked by a four-centred chamfered arch doorway, contributing to its picturesque appearance. Maple Cottage, along with Vestry Cottage and Monks Haven, forms a group of buildings.
