Description

Ormeley Lodge is a late 17th century or early 18th century mansion located on Ham Gate Avenue. The central block of the building is three storeys high and five windows wide, constructed of brown brick with red dressings. It features a brick main cornice and smaller cornices between the storeys, along with brick Doric pilasters and an entablature at each end of the front. The central windows project slightly and are framed in red bricks. The entrance has a Corinthian pilastered doorcase with a carved frieze.

To the right of the central block is a mid-18th century wing that is two storeys high and two windows wide. To the left is an 18th century wing that has three storeys, with a 19th century ground floor projection and an additional two-storey wing that is three windows wide beyond it. On the far left, a part of the outbuildings is used as a garage and projects towards the road. The property is enclosed by wrought iron gates, railings, and walls at the front. Inside, there is a notable staircase.
