Description

Museum Number 2, located in the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, is a building dating from the 18th century, with early 19th-century additions. The structure is primarily made of red brick, except for the outer addition on the right, which is constructed of yellow brick. The building features a two-storey central section that includes a later pedimented porch, flanked by sash windows that have bracketed hoods. Above these windows, there is a rectangular recess panel with an oeil-de-boeuf at either end. It is possible that the upper storey has been rebuilt. On either side of the central section, there are two-storey additions that are three bays wide, featuring a pierced parapet, along with a further three-bay addition on the extreme right, also of two storeys.
