Description

Built in 1610 as a stable block for Ham House, with an extension to the rear in 1787, the stables comprise a three-part range. The flanking wings are single-storied with tiled pitched roofs, while the central section is a two-story carriage entrance and gatehouse. The Ham Street frontage is constructed of red brick with lighter red brick dressings. The central section features a small ogee-domed cupola.
