Description
The former stable block to Gordon House is an early 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall, constructed of red and stock brick. It is likely that it was originally a single-storey orangery. The façade features a symmetrical arrangement of three round-headed bay windows, with each bay containing a segmental arched window on the ground floor and a circular window above. The central bay is recessed and showcases a large round-headed arch, which is rusticated. The tympanum of the arch is wood panelled and was formerly the top of double doors, with a modern window installed below. A cemented cornice, likely made of rubbed brick, runs along the top, and there is a 19th-century pedimented attic in the centre.
