Description

The alcove to the north of Lion Gate in the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew is a small classical building, likely built in the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of timber and features a pediment with a mask keystone and a frieze decorated with a Greek Key motif. The interior is panelled. This structure is similar to another alcove located by Brentford Ferry Gate.
