Description

The Clock Tower is a late 19th-century building constructed of red brick with stone dressings. It was originally a fire station and features a central lantern clock tower topped with bracketed eaves and a spirelet with a weathervane. To the right, there is a two-storey gabled section that is set forward, which has three windows on the first floor, a modern shop front at ground level, and three carved heads positioned in the facade just above the new fascia. To the left, there is another gabled section, but this one is single storey, likely of a later date, and has been converted into public lavatories.
