Description
Garden Cottage is a cottage dating from around 1863, likely designed by George Devey. It is constructed of red brick with some weatherboarding, and has a plain tile roof. The cottage is single-storied with three main bays; the central bay features a weatherboarded gable bisected by a prominent external chimney stack. There are three casement windows to the right and one to the left. A canted corner is located on the right-hand side. The roof is flipped. The cottage has three chimneys: one to the central gable with two diagonally-placed shafts, one to the left with a tall square shaft, and one to the right with three diagonally-placed shafts. The building was formerly listed as the cottage adjoining the north end of Coombe Hill Stables.
