Description
The Coach and Horses Public House, located at 183 London Road in Isleworth, is an 18th-century building that has undergone later alterations. It is constructed of stock brick and features two parallel pitched roofs with a parapet. The building stands three storeys tall, with the front elevation showcasing a bay window at the first floor level. There are three windows that display brick arcading at both the first and second floor levels. On the right side of the ground floor, two windows have timber mullions and a transom, likely from the 19th century. Additionally, there are two semi-circular windows with square sash windows positioned between them. A modern glazed porch has been added to the right side, and the ground floor is adorned with orange glazed tiles. This public house is noted for being mentioned by Charles Dickens in "Oliver Twist."
