Description

The Pavilion, formerly known as Syon Park Boathouse, is a late 18th-century structure with a stucco facade designed by J. Wyatt. It is a single-storey building featuring a 1:3:1 arrangement of windows. The central bow has three semi-circular arched French windows, flanked by four Ionic columns, and is topped with an entablature, parapet, and balustrade. The wings of the building have double-hung sash windows set in sunk panels. Their entablature and parapet, which contain a stepped panel, are lower than the central features and do not visually connect with them. The Pavilion is topped with a domed green roof. Notably, the original boathouses and grilles have been removed, and a granite sett terrace along with a sloping bank now runs in front of the Pavilion.
