Description
The main block of White Gate School for Girls, formerly known as Harrow Weald House, dates from the early 19th century. This two-storey building is constructed of yellow stock brick and features a slate roof. Originally, it was a symmetrical house with nine bays. The central bay projects thirteen and a half feet and is topped with a simple pediment above a consoled and hooded entrance door. There are three bays that project at each end of the building. To the left, there is a two-storey addition, while to the right, there is a recent single-storey addition and a lower two-storey building, neither of which are of special interest.
