Description

Dating to circa 1860-70, 36-43 Little Common is a complex of buildings constructed to house staff and to stable horses for Stanmore Hall. The red-brick composition overlooks Spring Pond and features bargeboarded gables and elaborate chimney stacks. Other details include bracketed eaves, single-storey bays with gabled porches, blue brick drapery and dressing, and tile roofs. Number 35 is a later addition and is not of special interest.
