Description
Stanmore Hall is a large stone mansion dating to approximately 1843, designed by John Macduff Derick. It was altered and extended around 1890 by B Binyon, with significant interior work undertaken by William Morris and Company. The building is constructed in a picturesque Tudor Gothic style. It is two and three storeys high, with slate roofs. A red brick service wing has been altered and extended. The interior suffered extensive damage in a fire in 1979 and is currently being partly rebuilt as offices.
