Description
This is an 18th-century ice well located to the right of the path near the entrance of "The Tarn" recreation ground. It has an ovoid shape, with the longer end buried in the ground. The structure is made of two thicknesses of handmade brick. The Borough Council has removed a section from the top to allow for viewing and to enhance its appeal as an interesting exhibit.
