Description
The two barns located northwest of the farmhouse at The Paddocks date back to the 18th century and are constructed in an L-shaped plan. They feature a base made of red and yellow stock brick, with weatherboarding above and a plain tile roof. The northern barn consists of three bays and has a central gabled cart entrance on the south side, which is adorned with 19th-century Gothic style double doors. This barn also showcases linen fold panelling and a quatrefoil band. The southern barn is larger, comprising eight bays, and has an arched entrance that connects it to the northern barn, featuring reused medieval spandrels. The eastern elevation of the southern barn includes six-light mullioned and transomed windows on either side of an arched central door.
