Description
68 Silver Street is possibly a 17th-century timber-framed house with 18th-century weather-boarding. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring three windows. It has a tiled roof with three dormers and a wood modillioned eaves cornice along with a triglyph frieze. There is a projecting two-storey porch. The windows are late 19th-century casements set in heavy moulded wood architraves with cornices above. The doorcase is pedimented, with a cornice and frieze that match the eaves. The right part of the building, which has a one-window design and is two storeys high, appears to be of even earlier origin and includes a 19th-century sash window on the ground floor. There is also a further lean-to extension on the right.
