Description

The buildings at 9 and 11 Bedford Road, W4, date from around 1880 and were designed by R. N. Shaw, based on his third published semi-detached house design. They are a pair of red-brick houses with tiled roofs, each two storeys high with attics. Each house features a one-storey bay window. The entrance doorways differ between the two properties. A modern steel staircase is attached to the rear of No. 11. A modillion eaves cornice runs around the building. Original brick gate piers and a wooden gate are located at No. 9.
