Description

The Coal Taxpost, located in the middle of Leaves Green, dates back to 1861. It is made of cast iron and features a square shape with chamfered sides and moulded caps. The post bears a shield from the City's Arms and is classified as No 186 type 2d in "The Coal Duties of the City of London and their Boundary Marks" published in 1972.
