Description
Kemnall Manor Upper School was designed by W H Robinson of Kent County Council and built in 1938 by Christiani and Nielson. Originally named "Chislehurst and Sidcup County School for Boys," it showcases a modern style. The building features a reinforced concrete frame throughout, with the exterior faced in brick and arranged around a courtyard plan. The southeast front is three storeys high, with continuous metal framed casements and flanked by bowed glazed staircase towers. The ground floor entrance includes a fanlight above and rounded bays. The northeast front is asymmetrical, highlighted by a full height glazed hall block. Additionally, part of the courtyard has a modern three-storey extension.
