Description
The Church of Our Lady of Willesden is a Roman Catholic church located on Acton Lane, built in 1930 by architect Wilfred C. Mangan of Preston. This large brick church features a severe and dignified design in the Modern Romanesque style, complete with an apsidal chancel and a small campanile. The exterior is characterized by long narrow windows. Inside, the church has sand-faced cement walls and deep concrete ribs supporting the nave roof and apse, which create a wide span.
