Description

Totteridge Park is an 18th-century house that was significantly altered and rebuilt in the 19th century, retaining some original features. The house is constructed of red brick with some roughcast areas, and has a tiled roof. It has an L-shaped layout. The west front features an Ionic doorway with a keystone dated 1750, believed to be the original entrance, along with rainwater hoppers also dated 1750. It features sash windows with glazing bars. The east front seems older, incorporating a bay centrepiece with Dutch gables, and wings on either side. The east front also has sash windows with glazing bars. The interior is not documented, but reportedly includes an 18th-century painted ceiling in the music room. The house was occupied by Baron Bunsen between 1848 and 1849.
