Description
A row of six houses, numbered 1 to 7, built in the mid-19th century as part of Montpelier Square. The facades are of stock brick, channelled and covered with stucco to the ground floor, with stucco dressings. The houses are four storeys high, with a basement; numbers 1 and 2 have a full attic storey, and number 3 has a mansard attic. Each house has two windows. The entrances are located on the left side of each property, with the entrance to number 1 being set within a return. The entrances are square-headed, with flanking pilasters. Most windows are square-headed, although those in numbers 1 and 2 are round-headed within round reveals. A continuous cast iron, bombé balcony runs along the first floor. The windows are primarily sash windows with glazing bars. The building has a cornice and a parapet. Area railings are present. The properties form part of a larger group that makes up Montpelier Square.
