Description

A row of six houses, numbered 17 to 22, located on Westbourne Street in the City of Westminster, dating to approximately 1840. The houses are constructed of stucco with slate mansard roofs, and have four storeys, an attic mansard, and a basement. Each house is two windows wide, featuring convex facades above a channelled ground floor. Projecting Doric porches with partly solid sides are present, each with arched windows to the sides, and panelled doors. Cast iron, bombé balconies break forward over the porches on the first floor. The first-floor windows are architraved and corniced, with French casements and unmoulded sashes with glazing bars. A bracketed cornice sits above the third-floor parapet, and a stucco band runs above the second floor. Cast iron area railings run along the front.
