Description
No. 7 Haymarket is a terrace house with a shop, built around 1821 or 1823. It is either contemporary with the rebuilding of the Haymarket Theatre by John Nash or linked to the later development of Suffolk Place. The building is constructed of stucco and features a slate roof. It stands four storeys tall and has stucco-framed dormers with pediments in a mansard roof. The facade is two windows wide. The ground floor has a mid-20th century shop front. The first and second floors have recessed sash windows set within architraves that include cornices, while the third floor has plain recessed sash windows. A frieze and dentil cornice crowns the building, with a blocking course that supports the dormers above.
