Description

The statue of James II, created by Grinling Gibbons, is located in front of the west wing of the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square, City of Westminster. Originally erected in Whitehall, it was later moved to St James's Park before its current placement. The statue is made of bronze and depicts the King as a Roman Emperor, presented in an elegant 'contraposto' pose.
