Description

The Statue of General Gordon is a memorial statue located on Victoria Embankment in the City of Westminster. It was created between 1887 and 1888 by the sculptor Hamo Thornycroft. The statue is made of bronze and is larger than life, depicting General Gordon of Khartoum. It stands on a Portland stone base that features decorative elements and two bronze plaques.
