Description

Albert Hall Mansions, numbers 31 to 48, is a block of mansion flats constructed in 1879 in the Queen Anne style by R. Norman Shaw. The building is red brick with a slate pitched roof. It has five storeys, plus two storeys in the roof. The west facade is convex, with scrollwork gables at either end, and wrought iron balconies to the upper storeys. The windows are a mix of sashes and casements with small panes, and feature square and segmental heads. A ground floor entrance is arched. Tall slab chimneys are present. The building is part of a larger group, including numbers 1 to 30 and 49 to 82, and is included on the register primarily for group value.
