Description

Albert Hall Mansions, Nos 49 to 82, is a block of mansion flats constructed in 1879 in the Queen Anne style by R. Norman Shaw. The building is primarily red brick with a slate pitched roof. It rises eight storeys plus two roof storeys. The west facade is concave to the right and flat to the left, featuring large, scroll-shaped gables to the roof. Balconies are present on floors one through five. The building includes arched entrances and windows that are either segmental or square-headed, with sash or casement operation and glazing bars. Tall slab chimneys are a prominent feature. The building is part of a larger group, including Nos 1 to 30 and 31 to 48, and is listed as part of that grouping.
