Description

This is a row of houses located on Montpelier Street in the City of Westminster, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of brick, with the ground floor finished in channelled stucco. They are three storeys high, plus a basement, and have an attic mansard roof on numbers 28 and 32. Each house has a two-window front.

The houses have arched entrances on the right side, with decorative fanlights above the doors at numbers 22, 26, 30 and 34. The remaining doorways are square-headed, with panelled doors. The upper windows are square-headed and have small panes of glass, except for the ground floor windows at numbers 32, 36 and 38, which have segmental heads. Stucco cornices are present, and balconies were originally placed on the first floor. Stucco cornices remain on numbers 28, 32 and 34. The houses are topped with parapets, and have cast iron area railings.
