Description
The revetment wall on the south side of the moat, extending from the Tower Bridge approach to the Middle Tower, dates from 1365 to 1370 and was constructed for Edward III. It is made of 14th century stone that has been refaced in brick, primarily from the 18th and 19th centuries, with mid-19th century stone used at the western end.
