Description

The Stepney War Memorial is situated next to the path leading to the west entrance of the church. It features a granite Celtic wheel-head cross, which is adorned with Celtic-style knot-work and rises from a tapering plinth. This plinth is positioned on a raised stone platform that is surrounded by railings. The front face of the plinth displays the inscription: "IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS CHURCH AND PARISH WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1918 AND WHOSE NAMES ARE RECORDED WITHIN THIS CHURCH R.I.P."
