Description

The commemorative plaque is located on a stone plinth on Mile End Road, in front of the Tower Hamlets Mission. The plinth is made of rusticated stone and features a sloping top. Affixed to it is a metal plaque that reads: "Here William Booth commenced the work of the Salvation Army July 1865."
