Description
Nos 9 and 10 Artillery Passage are an early 19th-century pair of houses made of stock brick. They feature a coped parapet with a panelled brick band below. The buildings are two storeys tall, each with two windows that have shaped brick panels above. The glazing is modern. No 10 has an early to mid-19th-century shop front, which includes an entablature with a cornice, architrave, and shaped frieze. There is a side house door and a central shop door with pilasters framing it. Some glazing bars remain on the shop windows. No 9 has an altered corner shop front. These buildings are listed for the significance of No 10's shop front and the important corner position of No 9. They are part of a group that includes Nos 52 to 58 Artillery Lane and Nos 2 to 16 Artillery Passage, along with the bollards at the junction of the two streets.
