Description
This is a cast iron bollard dated 1812, shaped like a tapering cannon and standing about two and a half feet above ground. It features a rounded cap and a moulded band, with the inscription "CLINK 1812" on both the front and back near the top. This indicates that it was likely originally placed in Clink Street, possibly near the prison.
