Description
This is a gun post located at the north end of Cathedral Street where the street divides, on the east side of the left fork. The post is not an original cannon and is inscribed with the words "Wardens of St Saviour's 1827." It is currently painted in black and white stripes. This post was originally one of a pair, with the second post having been moved to the north-east corner of Winchester Square.
